Family Dynamics

Understanding one person is helpful. Understanding the family changes the picture.

Every person in your family brings their own natural way of operating, using their strengths, approaching responsibilities, and interacting with the people around them.

That helps explain why one relationship can feel almost effortless while another seems to hit the same friction points over and over.

Family Dynamics starts by understanding each person individually, then looking at how those differences show up together.

The family picture can include:

Parent + Child

Where your natural approaches may line up — and where they may not.

Sibling + Sibling

Why children raised in the same home can need very different things.

Parent + Parent

How two adults may naturally see the same parenting situation differently.

The Whole Family

How everyone’s individual differences contribute to the larger family dynamic.

The Bigger Picture

Sometimes what feels like a problem is actually a difference between two people.

Different natural approaches can create friction when everyone assumes their own way should make sense to everyone else.

You think you’re helping. They feel pressured.

What feels like useful structure, guidance, or involvement to you may land very differently with a child who naturally operates another way.

One child responds. Another digs in.

The same parenting strategy can work beautifully with one child and fall completely flat with another.

One child just feels easier to understand.

Sometimes the child who feels easier simply operates more like you, while another child’s natural approach feels less familiar.

You and your partner disagree about what the child needs.

Each parent may naturally approach structure, motivation, independence, communication, and responsibility differently.

Individual First

The family picture starts with the people inside it.

Each family member first has their own Soul Aspect: Core Nature, Core Gifts, and Natural Operating Style.

1

Your Child

Their individual profile helps you understand the natural characteristics, gifts, and operating style they bring into the family.

2

A Sibling

Adding another child makes it easier to see why siblings may respond so differently even when raised by the same parents.

3

You

Your own Soul Aspect can help you notice where your natural expectations may be influencing the way you interpret your child.

4

Another Family Member

A spouse, partner, parent, adult child, or other family member can become another piece of the larger family picture.

Between the Profiles

The relationship can reveal something neither profile shows alone.

Once you understand two people individually, their similarities and differences become easier to see.

Parent + Child

Where do you naturally understand each other?

Shared qualities or approaches can create parts of the relationship that feel intuitive and easy to navigate.

Parent + Child

Where are you expecting them to work like you?

Understanding the difference can help separate “This makes no sense to me” from “This is wrong.”

Sibling + Sibling

Why does the same approach work for only one of them?

Siblings do not automatically need the same strategy simply because they live under the same roof.

Parent + Parent

Why do you see the situation so differently?

Two parents can care equally about a child while naturally interpreting the child’s needs in very different ways.

Whole Family

Where does the family naturally flow?

Some combinations may naturally support one another, making certain parts of family life feel easier.

Whole Family

Where does the same friction keep showing up?

Repeating misunderstandings may make more sense when you can see the natural differences underneath them.

An Important Distinction

Different does not mean wrong.

Family Dynamics is not about deciding which person has the better Soul Aspect, who is right, or who needs to change.

It is also not an excuse for harmful behavior or a reason to stop setting healthy boundaries.

It gives you more information about why two people may naturally experience, approach, or respond to the same situation differently.

Everyday Family Life

This becomes useful where real life actually happens.

Communication

Understand why the way you naturally communicate may not land the same way with every family member.

Structure

See why more structure may help one person while another functions better with more flexibility.

Motivation

Notice why praise, pressure, rewards, independence, or encouragement may affect people differently.

Responsibilities

Better understand different approaches to homework, chores, deadlines, planning, and follow-through.

Conflict

Recognize where two natural ways of operating may repeatedly bump into each other.

Strengths

See how different family members may bring different natural strengths instead of expecting everyone to excel the same way.

Build It Over Time

You don’t need to do the whole family at once.

Start with the person you most want to understand, then add family members whenever you’re ready.

1

Start with one child

Discover their Core Nature, Core Gifts, and Natural Operating Style.

2

Use the profile

Notice where the information helps you better understand everyday situations, strengths, and recurring differences.

3

Add another family member

Add another child, yourself, a partner, or another family member when you want a second piece of the picture.

4

Build your family picture

Each additional profile gives you more context for understanding the differences inside your family.

Keep the Lens in Perspective

Family Dynamics gives you more context — not every answer.

Sometimes a child needs a different parenting approach. Sometimes they need a clearer boundary. Sometimes they’re tired, stressed, developing, struggling, or simply making a poor choice.

The Soul Aspect is one more lens for understanding recurring differences and natural patterns.

It is meant to work alongside good parenting, developmental understanding, therapy, medical support, and other appropriate resources when needed.

Questions

About Family Dynamics

Do I need profiles for my whole family?

No. Start with one person. You can add additional family members whenever you want to build out more of the family picture.

Who can I add as a family member?

You can add another child, yourself, a spouse or partner, an adult child, or another family member you want included in your family profiles.

How much is an additional family member?

Once you have purchased your first $97 Soul Aspect profile, additional family member profiles are $67 each.

How do you know the new profile belongs to my family?

When purchasing an additional family member, use the same name and email address you used for your original purchase. That helps me connect the new profile with your existing family.

Does having different Soul Aspects mean two people won’t get along?

No. Differences do not automatically create conflict. The information simply gives you another way to understand why two people may approach the same situation differently.

Does Family Dynamics tell me who is right?

No. The goal is not to choose a winner or decide which family member has the better way of operating. It is to better understand the people involved.

How long does an additional profile take?

Additional family member profiles are ready within 5–7 business days after the completed intake information is submitted.

Start with your first child or add another family member to the Soul Aspect profiles you already have.

Your family doesn’t have to operate the same way to work well together. Sometimes understanding the differences is the piece that changes everything.
