What Can the Akashic Records Tell You About Your Child?

Not their future. Not a list of everything they’ll ever do. Something I think is much more useful: another way to understand who your child naturally is.

If you’ve never heard of the Akashic Records before, I realize the name can sound a little mysterious.

Maybe even a little out there.

And if somebody told me they could open some spiritual record and tell me exactly what my child was going to do with their life, I’d have questions too.

That isn’t what I do.

I’m not using the Akashic Records to predict whether your child will become a doctor, get married at 27, live in California, or finally remember to put their dishes in the dishwasher.

Honestly, that isn’t the information I think parents need most anyway.

I’m much more interested in helping you understand the child who is already standing in front of you.

So What Are the Akashic Records?

Within the Soul Realignment modality I practice, the Akashic Records are understood as a source of Soul-level information.

One way to picture them is like an energetic database containing information connected to the individual Soul.

But I don’t think you need to fully understand all of the spiritual mechanics behind the Akashic Records for the information to be useful.

That’s actually one of the things I like about Soul Realignment.

The point isn’t to collect interesting spiritual facts just because we can.

The information is supposed to be practical.

It should help you understand something differently.

It should give you a useful perspective.

And when I started looking at this information through the lens of parenting, that made a lot of sense to me.

Because as a parent, I don’t need another random fact about my child.

I want information that makes me say:

“Okay. That explains something.”

“I can see how that shows up in my child.”

“Maybe I need to approach this differently.”

The Soul Aspect Focuses on Three Pieces

A full Soul Realignment reading can contain a lot of information.

But for The Soul Aspect of Parenting, I didn’t want to dump a huge spiritual report on parents and leave them wondering what they were supposed to do with it.

I wanted to start with information that could help a parent understand their child in a simple, practical way.

So your child’s Soul Aspect focuses first on three areas:

Part One

Core Nature

A foundational look at the natural Soul-level qualities your child brings into their life and how they may tend to experience and engage with the world.

Part Two

Core Gifts

Natural energetic strengths and qualities that may be easier for your child to express when they are functioning in a healthy, aligned way.

Part Three

Decision-Making Style

Insight into the underlying way your child naturally organizes, processes, creates, and moves through choices and experiences.

These aren’t personality-test results.

I’m not asking you twenty questions about your child and then using their answers to place them into a category.

The information is accessed through the Akashic Records using the Soul Realignment framework I practice.

Core Nature: Who Is This Child at Their Foundation?

Core Nature is where I want parents to begin.

Because before we start talking about behavior, discipline, school, motivation, or sibling conflict, there’s a more basic question:

Who is this child naturally?

Not who have they been told they should be.

Not who you expected them to be.

Not who their brother or sister is.

And not who you were at their age.

Their Core Nature gives us a way to look at some of the foundational qualities they bring with them.

That matters because parents naturally look at their kids through their own lens.

We tend to assume things that feel obvious to us should also feel obvious to them.

We assume the kind of communication we appreciate should work for them.

We assume the things that motivate us should motivate them.

We assume that because something feels easy or natural to us, it should feel easy or natural to our child too.

Sometimes it doesn’t.

And sometimes learning more about who your child naturally is helps you recognize that difference without automatically seeing it as a problem.

Core Gifts: What Comes Naturally to Them?

This may be my favorite part.

Because sometimes a child’s natural strengths don’t look like strengths when you’re dealing with them every day.

They just look like your kid being your kid.

Or, depending on how those qualities are showing up, they may actually be the things that frustrate you.

That’s something the Soul Realignment material talks about too: people often take their natural energetic qualities for granted because those qualities simply feel normal to them.

And those same qualities aren’t always expressed perfectly.

A natural gift still needs maturity, skills, experience, and responsible choices.

That is especially true with children.

A natural strength and a perfectly developed skill are not the same thing.

Your child still has to learn how to use what comes naturally to them in a healthy and productive way.

I really like that distinction because it keeps us from turning Soul-level information into an excuse.

We aren’t saying:

“This is just how my child is, so everyone else needs to deal with it.”

We’re saying:

“This may be something that comes naturally to my child. How do I help them learn to express it well?”

That’s a much more useful parenting question.

Decision-Making Style: How Do They Naturally Move Through Things?

This is where things can get really interesting inside a family.

Within Soul Realignment, there are different ways that a person’s underlying Soul-level energies can be organized.

Some people are naturally more sequential and structured.

Some naturally work with multiple moving parts at once.

Others tend to be much more spontaneous and figure things out as they go.

None of those is automatically better than the others.

They’re different.

Now imagine what happens when the parent and child are on opposite ends of that spectrum.

You may have a parent who wants:

What’s the plan?

What are the steps?

What time are we doing this?

Why haven’t you started yet?

And a child whose natural response is basically:

I’ll figure it out.

You can probably see where that could get interesting.

Sometimes what looks like “Why can’t you just do this my way?” is really two people trying to move through life in very different ways.

That doesn’t mean the child never needs a deadline.

It doesn’t mean they get out of responsibilities.

It gives the parent another piece of information to consider when deciding how much structure, preparation, flexibility, or step-by-step direction may actually be helpful.

The underlying Soul Realignment material describes these organizing principles as different ways the Soul’s energies are arranged, ranging from highly structured and sequential to much more organic and spontaneous. No one style is considered more evolved or inherently better than another. [oai_citation:2‡SR MASTER PDF with physical added.pdf](file-service://file-AfyFGqTnHHNFQKyNshvikQ)

What the Akashic Records Don’t Tell Me

I think this part is just as important as explaining what they do tell me.

Your child’s Soul Aspect doesn’t tell me exactly what they will become.

It doesn’t tell me every decision they’ll make.

It doesn’t give me permission to decide who they should be.

And it doesn’t remove their ability to choose.

Your child is still a person having their own experience.

They’re going to grow.

They’re going to learn.

They’re going to make great choices.

They’re going to make some really questionable ones.

Welcome to parenting.

I would never want a parent to receive Soul-level information and then start interpreting everything their child does through one label.

The Soul Aspect is a lens. It isn’t a box.

Is This Basically a Personality Test?

No.

And I think that distinction is important.

There are plenty of great personality assessments out there.

They generally work by gathering information about the way someone currently thinks, behaves, responds, or sees themselves.

That can be useful.

But that isn’t what I’m doing here.

The Soul Aspect comes from Soul-level information accessed through the Akashic Records within the Soul Realignment modality.

Your child doesn’t have to answer a questionnaire.

You don’t have to decide which description sounds most like them.

And I’m not building the profile based on what you tell me about their personality.

That means the information sometimes gives parents a perspective they might not have thought to look for on their own.

Does This Tell Me How to Parent My Child?

Not exactly.

And I actually think that’s a good thing.

I don’t believe I should hand you a Soul Aspect and say:

“Here are the seven rules for parenting this child.”

That would just be another one-size-fits-all parenting system wearing different clothes.

You know your child.

You know your family.

You know your values.

You know what’s happening in your home.

What I can give you is information that may help you make those parenting decisions with a better understanding of the child involved.

The Soul Aspect doesn’t replace your parenting judgment.

It gives your parenting judgment another piece of information to work with.

Why Would Knowing This Actually Matter?

Because misunderstanding creates a lot of unnecessary conflict.

Think about how differently you might respond if you understood that something you’ve been interpreting as laziness, stubbornness, oversensitivity, disorganization, or resistance might have another layer underneath it.

That doesn’t mean your first interpretation is always wrong.

Sometimes a kid is just avoiding doing something they don’t want to do.

Again: welcome to parenting.

But having another perspective can make you curious before you immediately assume you know why something is happening.

Is this something I need to correct?

Is this something I need to teach?

Is this something I need to understand?

Or is it some combination of all three?

Those are better questions than simply:

“How do I make my child stop doing this?”

It Can Also Change What You Notice

This may be one of the quieter benefits of understanding your child’s natural design.

You start noticing things.

Maybe a quality you’ve been frustrated by is connected to a strength that hasn’t matured yet.

Maybe your child isn’t bad at making decisions — they simply don’t naturally make them the same way you do.

Maybe they aren’t intentionally fighting your structure every second of the day.

Maybe structure genuinely feels different to them than it does to you.

Maybe the child you’ve been describing as “too much” has a quality that will become incredibly useful once they learn how to direct it.

You’re still dealing with the behavior happening today.

But now you may be able to see beyond it too.

You Aren’t Trying to Create a Different Child

This is probably the biggest reason I wanted to bring Soul Realignment into parenting in this particular way.

Parents spend a lot of time trying to prepare our kids for life.

That’s part of our job.

We teach them responsibility.

We teach them how to deal with other people.

We teach them that actions have consequences.

We teach them skills they’re going to need when they aren’t living under our roof anymore.

But somewhere in all of that teaching, I think it’s easy to accidentally shift from:

“How do I help this child grow?”

to:

“How do I make this child more like the person I think they should be?”

Those aren’t the same thing.

The goal isn’t to create the child you expected. It’s to help the child you actually have become the healthiest version of who they already are.

That idea is also very consistent with the foundation of Soul Realignment, which places importance on recognizing people for their individual Soul-level design rather than assuming everyone should function the same way. The training specifically describes recognizing family members for who they are at Soul level as valuable for understanding both them and ourselves. SR MASTER PDF with physical added.pdf

So What Can the Akashic Records Tell You About Your Child?

They can give you another perspective on who your child naturally is.

They can help you explore qualities that may come naturally to them.

They can give you insight into the way their natural energies are organized.

They can help you notice differences between your child, their siblings, and even you.

And maybe most importantly, they can give you a reason to stop asking:

“Why can’t my child just be more like…?”

And start asking:

“Who is this child — and how can I parent them with that in mind?”

That is the whole idea behind The Soul Aspect of Parenting.

Not another parenting formula.

Not a prediction.

Not another label.

A better map of the child you’re already raising.
